Position: Administrative Assistant (30 hours per week)
Location: Hamilton, New Jersey

Summary of Responsibilities
Responsible for assisting the tax assembly assistant and maintain the flow of work throughout the office. Duties may also include managing the front desk, greeting clients, operating the telephone switchboard, and a variety of administrative tasks.

Duties

Control Department/Tax Assembly 

  • Print and mail quarterly estimate reminders for clients
  • Prepare and process extension requests when required
  • Check CCH e-file system for rejected tax returns
  • Prepare tax organizers at year-end
  • Assemble and process tax returns
  • Provide support as needed to the accounting staff
  • Copy and scan tax-related documents
  • Process paperwork and financial statements
  • Process annual payroll tax returns and 1099’s
  • Copying, faxing, scanning – tax document scanning during tax season
  • Editing and formatting Word and Excel documents including financial statements

Administrative

  • Answer and operate a multi-line telephone system. Transfer calls to the proper employee and use the paging system.
  • Greet all clients and visitors with enthusiasm, and assist them by providing them with the information they request or referring them to the appropriate staff member
  • Create file folders
  • Set-up luncheons for meetings and other events
  • Prepare confirmations
  • Type letters as requested
  • Train new employees on how to use the telephone system
  • Track the firm’s MiFi devices
  • Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • High School Diploma or GED (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
  • Minimum of three years of administrative support experience
  • Ability to operate multi-line telephone computerized switchboard
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism and manage in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Computer literate, including proficiency with Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Overtime required for tax season, from January 15 to April 15, including some Saturdays
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and work demands simultaneously
  • Collaborative nature and team spirit
  • Self-starter works well without detailed supervision

Position: Staff/Senior Accountant – Tax
Location: Hamilton, New Jersey

Summary of Responsibilities
The Staff/Senior Accountant – Tax’s primary responsibility is to provide timely and quality client work.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • Two to five years’ experience in tax preparation with a public accounting firm.
  • Excellent technical accounting and tax skills, ability to perform tax research, proficiency in the use of computers and computer accounting and tax software.
  • Able to work as part of a team and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Financial reporting, ProFx Engagement software, and QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • CPA license a strong plus
  • Must have public accounting experience

Location: Hamilton, New Jersey

Summary of Responsibilities
The Staff/Senior Accountant’s primary responsibility is to provide timely and quality of client work.

Education, Knowledge, and Experience Required

  • Two to five years’ experience in tax preparation with a public accounting firm.
  • Be able to manage the audit from inception through finalization.
  • Able to work as part of a team and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Yellow Book and Single Audits preferred
  • Financial reporting, ProFx Engagement software, and QuickBooks experience preferred.
  • CPA license a strong plus
  • Must have public accounting experience.
  • Nonprofit audit experience a plus.
