Responsibilities:

  • Accurately plan, perform, and review Prepared, Compiled, Reviewed, and Audited financial statements for both privately-held companies and non-profit organizations.
  • Analyze complex audit issues, including new Accounting Standard Updates, and perform and document research and conclusions.
  • Delegate, supervise, and review work performed by other team members.
  • Identify and communicate internal control weaknesses and recommendations for areas of improvement.
  • Ensure complete client and team satisfaction through open communication, managing deadlines, and proactively sharing audit strategies.
  • Ensure timely completion of engagements.
  • Demonstrate a level of communication skills, intuitive skills, and resourcefulness that encourages others to follow and develop the same skills.
  • Oversee supervisors, senior associates, and staff on large engagements.
  • Work closely with Partners, senior managers, and staff on professional development and business development activities.
  • Train and mentor team members.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years public accounting experience
  • CPA designation is required
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP
  • Nonprofit audit experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of audit and accounting software
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with internal teams and clients
  • Ability to oversee multiple engagements concurrently

We seek a Tax Manager who can work independently, multi-task efficiently and effectively, and work with minimal supervision. Ability to work with PDF and Microsoft products including Excel, Word, etc. knowledge of CCH ProSystem fx Engagement Software and QuickBooks accounting software, attention to detail, strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, and flexibility.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately prepare and review corporate, partnership, estate, gift, fiduciary, and individual income tax returns.
  • Review and respond to IRS and State tax notices.
  • Analyze complex tax issues, perform and document research and conclusions.
  • Delegate, supervise, and review work performed by other team members.

Position: Senior Accountant – Audit

Location: Hamilton, New Jersey

We seek a full-time auditor who can work independently, multi-task efficiently and effectively, and work with minimal supervision.   • Perform audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning to conclusion.
  • Supervise and review work of other staff on audits and other engagements.

  • Prepare, review and submit journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Prepare Financial Statements following GAAP, tax, and modified cash basis.
  • Thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.
  • Assume responsibility for efficiently supervising both audit and non-audit engagements.
  • Assist with internal inspections of audit engagements.
  • Prepare individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Skills:

  • 2-5 years’ audit experience with a public accounting firm.
  • Experience with non-profit, Yellow Book and Single Audits preferred.
  • Ability to prepare financial statements and note disclosures.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Ability to run an audit engagement from start to finish.
  • Ability to supervise other staff.
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
  • Familiarity with accounting software.

Administrative Assistant

Location: Hamilton, New Jersey

Responsibilities:

  • Copying, faxing, and scanning (tax document scanning during tax season).
  • Assisting with various client mailings throughout the year.
  • Printing/assembling tax packages for our clients.
  • Processing and assembling extensions and estimates.
  • Printing/assembling financial statement packages for our clients.
  • Assisting accounting staff with various matters.
  • Answering telephones using a multi-line telephone system.
  • Greeting clients and visitors.
  • Performing other duties that may be assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Adobe.
  • Willingness to learn and implement other software programs.
  • Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism, such as dealing with people and performing under stress when confronted with multiple calls .
  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines, scanners and printers).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work with a team.
  • Overtime required for tax season (January 15 to April 15), including some Saturday work.
