Michael R. Massa joined Klatzkin & Company LLP in 1972 and was promoted to partner in 1983. As a tax partner, his primary responsibilities are centered on federal and state tax planning, compliance, investigations and research. He also concentrates his efforts in the areas of commercial real estate leasing, new home construction, retail operations and manufacturing.

Mr. Massa was previously an auditor for the State of New Jersey, focusing on sales and income tax audits. His expertise from being an auditor with the State has been helpful to many clients. He is also knowledgeable in entity tax-free reorganizations and state nexus issues.

Mr. Massa has appeared as a guest co-host and a guest speaker on radio talk shows in the Mercer County area. He has also spoken to business and professional groups on various tax planning and related topics.

Mr. Massa is a 1970 graduate of Rider College where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce. He is a certified public accountant in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the New Jersey Society of CPAs, and the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs. He is a past president of the Mercer Chapter of the New Jersey Society of CPAs, as well as past president and Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club of Langhorne, PA.
